Helen Miller RN, BSN, C.Ac, Dipl.Ac. (NCCA)

Helen is an acupuncturist and herbalist. She received her training at the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, with an internship in Guangzhou, China. Her herbal training has been with the Berkeley Institute of Chinese Herbology, as well as the Midwest Center. She has also been studying advanced pulse diagnosis with Dr. Leon Hammer and is now an assistant instructor in that specialty. She has been certified to perform acupuncture facial renewal treatments for 1 1/2 years.

Helen joined the Jensen Health and Energy Center in 1991. Her intention is to use acupuncture and herbal therapy to balance energy on many levels, alleviating pain and dysfunction in the body. Pulse diagnosis allows her to assess the energy of the internal organs, giving a complete treatment strategy for each individual.

Helen lectures frequently at Telesis Institute at Alverno College in Milwaukee

She is certified by the National Commission for Certification of Acupuncturists (NCCA) as well as licensed in the State of Wisconsin. Helen is a member of the American Association of Oriental Medicine, and the Wisconsin State Acupuncture Association.

Her career before acupuncture was in nursing, graduating from UW-Madison in 1973. Her specialty was Neonatal Intensive Care, caring for premature or sick infants. Helen worked in California and the Chicago area before moving back to Wisconsin.

Helen's spiritual life centers around Meher Baba, and other interests include travel, gardening, and cooking. Her husband Mike is a well-known jazz musician and music teacher in Milwaukee.
